Over 1,000 coronavirus cases reported in Somalia

The health ministry of Somalia said on Sunday that 57 more coronavirus cases have been reported in the country, which has increased the total number of coronavirus infected patients across the countryto 1,054.

The health minister of the country, Fawziya Abikar, said that three more patients have died due to the disease, which has increased the total coronavirus deaths across the country to 51.

The official added that eight more patients have recovered from the virus, increasing the total number of recoveries to 118 in Somalia.

The government of the country has taken multiple efforts and measures to stop the spread of coronavirus such as shutting down schools, banning mass gatherings and stoppping global and domestic passenger flights.
